Art

I have been rushing around the house this last week before school starts, taking advantage of the undesignated time to clean and organize. While digging out the file boxes from the garage (to file papers, since I had 4 FULL "to file" folders....oops), I came across a few boxes that were shoved on the shelf the last time we moved. Two of them had photos in frames, so I got those out and hung up a bunch. One had some of my old old art work from back in the day when I had time to draw. These things have traveled with me and been in storage all across the country and even in Germany.....so now they are showing some wear and tear. So anyway, here are a few of the things I drew 12-16 years ago, most being from my drawing/ life drawing class in high school. =)

The standard styrofoam shapes:
This one is kind of silly...... we were supposed to do an abstract piece. I decided to draw my brother (this pic was on the cover of a magazine when we were in high school), and place him in a magazine photo taken of Utah....it was going to be even more complicated than that, with it being a puzzle, but I ran out of time. And by the way, it's Prismacolor, which is probably the most fun medium to work with!

The magazine picture I copied: (I don't have a copy of the one with Kev on it......I think Mom and Dad took it.)

I drew this of Jesse running:
Aaaaaand......some random swimmer:
And Pete Sampras from his Milk ad..... minus the milk mustache.

For this assignment we had to take five items that were special to us, or told something about us at the time (Senior year of high school), and draw them as they would appear suspended in the air, or floating, with one in color.

And that's the tour around my gallery.

Nice! I love how you included those foam box puzzles in the last one.
